Government Relations
Recently named in Utah Business Magazine as three of Utah’s "Legal Elite," Christopher J. Kyler, Bryan R. Kohler, and Michael J. Ostermiller are partners in the law firm Kyler Kohler & Ostermiller, LLP. In their government relations practice, they act as legal counsel for several small businesses and statewide organizations representing residential and commercial real estate professionals, developers, appraisers, apartment owners and managers, electrical power generators, steel producers, commercial developers, heavy construction contractors, construction and demolition landfill owners, charter schools, think tanks, and health maintenance providers. Together, they are responsible for creating and managing the legislative advocacy efforts of these clients, including legislative drafting, campaigning, fund-raising, PAC money disbursement, and lobbying. Offering a full-range of government relations advocacy, they work at the federal, state, and local levels on behalf of their clients. Additionally, they are frequent speaker in meetings across Utah where they help business leaders and their staff members better understand the legal and political issues facing their industries.
As Kyler, Kohler, and Ostermiller have experienced tremendous demand for their services, they have kept ethics as the primary consideration in determining whether to accept new clients. From strict and thorough conflict checks to maintaining ample support staff and more, Kyler, Kohler, and Ostermiller will continue to set the pace at all levels of the legislative advocacy process.
